Nightmare
on Frances
The following fictional short film takes the perspective of a young pizza deliverer fulfilling a typical midday run at the heart of the UW-Madison campus. Upon arriving at his destination on Frances Street, he’s confronted with a large, ominous apartment complex that he’s left to navigate. His unbothered yet determined nature eventually lands the pizza delivery guy in some unusual and chilling circumstances. The Nightmare on Frances was the product of five graduating seniors’ last group project in college and was ultimately created on somewhat of a “whim”– being devised, filmed, and edited in just under a week. Despite the team's late and unpromising start, their efficient yet laid-back mentalities led to unparalleled collaboration and the creation of harrowing short thriller film that ended up being awarded best film in their class.
